Jakob was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 16th 1995. He has mostly theatre credits, but also dabbled in local background acting. His background credits include: Student on Mr. D (TV Series), and Wedding Guest in Christmas With Holly (Hallmark Movie). Most recent stage credits include: Valentine/Ensemble in Mary Poppins (Capitol Theatre, 2018), Pan in Daphnis et Chloé​, Bob Cratchit/Ensemble in ​A Christmas Carol: The Musical (School of Atlantic Ballet, 2017), Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden in Next to Normal​ (Saints Alive! Theatre, 2017), Chairman/Ensemble in Oliver!​ (Capitol Theatre, 2017), and Aeneas in ​Dido and Aeneas​ (Université de Moncton, 2017).

Jakob has a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from Université de Moncton, and is fully bilingual (French and English).

Jakob trained at the Neptune Theatre School in Halifax, Nova Scotia in their Youth Performance Company from 2008 until 2012 (excluding 2009). He performed in their winter productions from 2010-2012.
